Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Rams

November 23rd marks the 97th Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade and for the ninth consecutive year, the Ram Truck brand is the Official Truck of the Parade. According to the Macy’s Thanksgiving Fandom website, Ram pickups will tow all 26 floats that can weigh up to eight tons once loaded with the performers and children. You can expect to see the Ram 150 Big Horn, Laramie, Longhorn, Limited models, and Ram 2500 Bighorn and 3500 Limited trucks as they travel 2.5 miles through Manhattan and end at Macy’s in Herald Square.

Back in 2018, two specially wrapped Ram trucks were made for Kalahari's Splashing Safari Adventure float and Mount Rushmore's American Pride. In 2019, two other custom Ram trucks were added to the fleet, now coinciding with the floats of Green Giant and Santa's Sleigh which was designed by Joel Naprstek. A wind-up key decorated another truck that pulled the New York Life float. Mirroring a truck in the Macy's Santa Girl advertisement, a Ram truck was adorned with beaming Christmas lights and a Santa hat, carrying a load of presents in its cargo bed. In 2020, the Tom and Jerry's Tourist Trap float also received a custom Ram Truck, decorated as a tow truck and The Green Giant would get an entire makeover. All this and many more fun facts can be found at https://macysthanksgiving.fandom.com/wiki/Ram_Trucks

This year if you are watching the Parade keep your eyes on these custom-wrapped trucks and maybe if you drop a few hints, you might get a custom-wrapped truck from Santa (just don’t forget your cocomats!)
